Which minimums should a small jewelry order confirm?

A minimum order amount and a minimum quantity answer different questions. The amount concerns the value of the order; the quantity concerns how many units a particular design or option requires. Ask for the working conditions against your actual product plan before treating a starting quantity as approval of every combination.

Separate the quantities in your request

• Order value: ask whether a minimum purchase amount applies and which quoted items count toward it.
• Design quantity: list each design separately and confirm its counting unit, especially for earrings sold as pairs or jewelry sold as sets.
• Variants: show the proposed split by finish, color, size or other change and ask whether each variation has a separate minimum.
• Packaging: request quantities and minimums for each card, pouch, box or print option independently of the jewelry quantity.

For example, a necklace design offered in different finishes with branded boxes needs both a product breakdown and a packaging breakdown. An acceptable total order quantity does not by itself establish that the finish split or printed box quantity is workable. Mark those details as questions until they appear in the quotation.

Compare proposals using the same design list, variant split, packaging specification and destination. Record the confirmed quantity rules alongside sample and bulk costs so a later change to the assortment can be assessed against the original quotation.
